Convert HEIC to JPG

HEIC is the photo format iPhones save by default — it compresses better than JPG, but tons of Windows apps, older websites, and non-Apple tools still can’t open it. This tool decodes your HEIC photo and re-saves it as a standard JPG that opens absolutely everywhere.
The whole conversion happens locally, right in this browser tab. Your photo is read, decoded, and re-encoded on your own device — it never gets uploaded anywhere, so your personal photos stay personal.

Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The decode and re-encode both happen locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your HEIC file never leaves your device — there is no upload step at any point.
Does this work with iPhone Live Photos?
It converts the still image inside the HEIC file to JPG. The Live Photo motion component (a short paired video) is not part of the still HEIC file itself, so it isn’t included in the JPG output.
What size photos can I convert, and does my browser matter?
Up to 50MB per photo. It works in any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) — the first conversion downloads a small decoding engine (a few MB, cached afterward) since browsers don’t read HEIC natively.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no account, and no email required for any tool on this site — just pick your file and convert.
