Convert MP4 to MP3

Grab the soundtrack, podcast, or narration out of an MP4 video without any video editing software. This tool pulls the audio track out of your MP4 and encodes it as a standalone MP3 — perfect for turning a music video, a recorded talk, or a tutorial into something you can listen to on the go.
It all happens through WebAssembly running inside your browser tab, so your video file is never uploaded — it stays on your device the whole time, and the MP3 comes straight back to you.

Frequently asked questions
Does the output include the video, or just audio?
Just audio. You’ll get a standalone MP3 file with no video — if you want to keep the video too, this isn’t the tool for that, but you can still play the original MP4 separately.
Is my MP4 uploaded anywhere to extract the audio?
No. The extraction and MP3 encoding both happen locally via WebAssembly — there is no server step, so your file never leaves your device.
What are the size and browser requirements?
Files up to 300MB on desktop (100MB on mobile), with no duration limit since only the audio track is processed. Works in any modern browser with WebAssembly support — WebCodecs isn’t needed here.
