Convert JPG to PNG

Need a lossless copy of a JPG for editing, layering, or a tool that specifically requires PNG (many logo uploaders, some design and print workflows)? This tool redraws your JPG onto a canvas and exports it as a PNG — no more compression applied on top of what the JPG already has.
It all happens locally using the canvas element built into your browser — no plugin, no upload, nothing sent to a server. Your original file stays on your device the whole time.

Frequently asked questions
Does converting to PNG bring back quality lost in the JPG?
No — JPG compression is lossy, so any quality already lost when the JPG was created is permanent. PNG conversion just stops further lossy compression from being applied; it can’t restore detail that’s already gone.
Is my image uploaded to convert it?
No. The whole process uses your browser’s own canvas rendering — nothing is sent to a server, and your image never leaves your device.
Will the file get bigger?
Usually yes. PNG typically produces a larger file than the source JPG for photos, since it doesn’t use the same aggressive compression. For graphics with flat colors or text it can be similar in size or smaller.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no account, and no email required for any tool on this site — just pick your file and convert.
